President Lee Ruef welcomed members of the Forest Hills Neighborhood Association to the annual General Meeting.  More than 50 neighbors attended the meeting at the home of Lucille and Jim Cantey.

President Ruef introduced a representative of the Columbia City Police Department.  Discussion of neighborhood security followed.

President Ruef introduced City Councilman Anne Sinclair.  She provided basic information regarding the Interim Measures for Community Character Protection that are being considered for adoption by the Forest Hills Neighborhood Association.  There was discussion regarding the Interim Measures as well as local historic designation.

President Lee Ruef introduced Mary McCants.  Ms. McCants explained the National Historic Register designation recently granted to neighborhood of Forest Hills. 

President Ruef presented the 2007 President’s Report.  This was followed by the election of the 2008 Officers.

The meeting was adjourned.
