Ice Cream Social a huge success!
August 5, 2009

The 2009 Ice Cream Social and National Night Out Against Crime was a huge success Tuesday evening. Everyone seemed to have a good time and the turnout was impressive - all of the ice cream was eaten by 8:00pm!

We'd like to say a huge "Thank You!" to the City of Columbia Fire Department, who turned out in force; Councilwoman Belinda Gergel; Mayor Bob Coble; Assistant City Manager Steve Gantt; Lt. Col. Burke (CPD); Director of Homeland Security, Harold Reaves; and a host of police officers. It was a wonderful chance to meet and thank the people who watch over our neighborhood and city.
A special "Thank You!" goes out to our Forest Hills Social Committee Chair, Caroline Laney, and Security Chair, Lee Ruef, who worked hard to make this a great event.
