Alert Teenager Halts Attempted Forest Hills Burglary
An alert teenager has stopped an attempted burglary in Forest Hills leading to an immediate arrest of one suspect. According to police, a Forest Hills teenager saw a young man pick up a brick last Thursday afternoon and head for the rear of a home.
Her family called 911 and within minutes police were on the way. As police approached the neighborhood, one young man was seen running. He was chased and apprehended. Police are searching for a second suspect.
Our local police patrol officer Dan Bowman also reports that there was another arrest of a suspected burglar near Forest Hills last week. Break-ins have been reported on Manning Avenue and in Melrose Heights.
